Westlife Teams Up With Ed Sheeran for New Single Ahead of Reunion Tour


What’s higher than information of a boy band reunion? A boy band reunion that's occurring with the assistance of Ed Sheeran.

After six years of silence, Irish boy band Westlife will reunite for brand spanking new music and a stadium tour in 2019, they introduced on Wednesday. Westlife’s unique members — Shane Filan, Kian Egan, Nicky Byrne and Mark Feehily — have determined to get again collectively for the primary time since they break up in 2012. Fifth member Brian McFadden left the band in 2004 to pursue a solo profession and won’t take part within the reunion.

Westlife confirmed their long-speculated reunion in a playful video that can be a nod to their previous. After warmly greeting one another, the members take their seats on stools and declare, “Hi, we’re Westlife,” simply as Byrne rises from his seat. “I believed we had been doing the important thing change,” Byrne jokes, referring to the band’s signature group dance transfer of rising to their ft to point a coming key change. 

In an interview with The Sun, the “Swear It Again” singers revealed that their new comeback single was written with the assistance of Ed Sheeran to “give them a up to date edge.”

“We genuinely missed one another and missed the thrill of performing onstage collectively to all our followers,” Shane instructed The Sun. “We nonetheless have lots we wish to obtain as a band and we wish to convey our new music to  followers everywhere in the world.”
