A month after debuting on the Streets Talkin charts with their EP Spring, Wallows scores its first charting song with “Pictures of Girls,” which debuts at No. 40 on the Alternative Songs airplay chart dated July 14.
The three-piece band, consisting of 13 Reasons Why star Dylan Minnette, Braeden Lemasters and Cole Preston, debuts with a 15 percent boost in spins on alternative radio in the week ending July 8, according to Nielsen Music.
In all, the song racks up 672,000 audience impressions at rock radio in the July 2-8 tracking week.
“Girls” is the first single to chart from Spring, the trio’s debut EP, released on Atlantic in April and produced by John Congleton.
The EP debuted at No. 9 on the Heatseekers Albums chart dated June 9 following its vinyl release (1,000 copies), which also shot the album onto Vinyl Albums at No. 15 (1,000 copies).
Minnette is the star of the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why, which recently premiered its second season, while Lemasters has appeared in House, Betrayal and more.
