Voices of Service delivered an inspiring performance of Gavin DeGraw’s “Fire” on the Tuesday (Aug. 13) episode of America’s Got Talent.
Comprised of veterans and active duty service members, the combined talent of the group garnered a standing ovation at the end of their performance.
With stunning solos by each member and breathtaking harmonies, Voices of Service had the audience mesmerized. The group was backed by a military chorus that represented all five military branches giving more of a gospel feel to DeGraw’s pop standard.
An inspiring number, Season 14 America’s Got Talent judges Simon Cowell, Julianne Hough, Gabrielle Union and Howie Mandel all praised the group following their performance.
“I could sum it up with one word: Inspirational,” Cowell said. “I always felt that way about you…I think the public are going to vote you through to the next round. I believe going forward into the later rounds that you’re capable of coming up with a song that could literally stop the traffic with your voices, so congratulations.”
