You can nearly really feel the adrenaline rush by your veins the second the long-lasting opening “Bennie and the Jets” chord performs. Paramount Pictures launched the primary teaser trailer for the Elton John bio pic Rocketman on Monday (Oct. 1) and it finds star Taron Egerton (Kingsman: The Golden Circle) decked out in large glasses, colourful blazers and flashy costumes.
The dramatic, minute-long trailer begins with a montage of glimpses into John’s life: he stands in the course of a fan-filled stadium; a boy runs by a sq. of dancing males; and producers watch as Elton performs in a studio. “There are moments in a rockstar’s life that outline who he’s,” Egerton narrates over the gathering of moments.
As “Bennie and the Jets” picks up within the background, extra scenes unfold stuffed with dancing ladies, elaborate places and a younger John coping with profession struggles. We get a glimpse of Egerton performing as Elton when he leads with the refrain of “Rocketman.” The whimsical '70s-esque collage continues, and the trailer concludes with Elton hammering out the track on a piano as he and his followers float into the air in a trippy scene that hints on the film's clever tackle John's epic life.
Rocketman has been pitched as a musical fantasy story about Elton John's early years within the music enterprise, charting his rise from his research on the Royal Academy of Music by his struggles with drug habit and into worldwide fame. In addition to Egerton, Jamie Bell, Gemma Jones, Bryce Dallas Howard and Richard Madden are additionally starring. Dexter Fletcher (Eddie The Eagle) is directing and John and David Furnish are producing underneath their Rocket Pictures banner. Matthew Vaughn, who labored with Egerton on the Kingsman movies, can be producing.
