This 12 months marks the 25th anniversary Snoop Dogg’s debut album, Doggystyle. The album served as a proper introduction to the then-up-and-coming rapper who was working alongside Dr. Dre. Prior to the album, he blew folks away along with his work on “Deep Cover” and The Chronic single, “Nuthin’ But A G Thang.” Snoop just lately sat down with Questlove who shocked the Doggfather with some data concerning the latter’s pattern origin.

Snoop Dogg did not know that Dr. Dre sampled Questlove’s dad and mom — Arthur Lee Andrew Thompson and Jacqui Andrews — on “Nuthin’ But A G Thang.” In a latest interview with Snoop, Questlove revealed to him that Dre sampled 1973 tune “Are You Looking”  by Congress Alley — the group Quest’s dad and mom had been in.

“You know you sampled my dad and mom, proper?” Quest revealed whereas taking part in the unique tune. “That’s my mother and my dad.”

“What?!” Snoop replied in shock.

Questlove went onto reveal how he and Black Thought had been so stoked to listen to the tune when throughout their youthful days in Philly.

“So when the shit would come on The Box in Philly and I heard that — Yo, me and Tariq misplaced it. Like, ‘Yo, that’s your mother and pop!’” he says. “It was like we gained the lottery ticket!”
