Pete Davidson Says Ariana Grande ‘Loved the Sh– Out Of’ Mac Miller

Pete Davidson was still engaged to Ariana Grande when Mac Miller died in 2018 after an accidental overdose of fentanyl, cocaine and alcohol. In a new interview with Charlamagne Tha God published on Monday (Feb. 24), Davidson opened up about how the tragedy affected his then-fiance.

“I totally got it,” Davidson said when asked about Ari's public grieving. “She would even tell you this. I was like, ‘Listen, I get it, do whatever you’ve got to do, I’ll be here.’ I think I said, ‘I’ll be here until you don’t want me to be here.'”

“I pretty much knew it was around over after that,” he continued. “That was really horrible, and I can’t imagine what that s— is like. All I do know is that she really loved the s— out of him, and she wasn’t putting on a show or anything. That was f—ed up. Prayers to his family and all of his friends.”

The pop star and Swimming rapper confirmed they parted ways after a two year relationship in May 2018. Davidson and Grande began dating at the end of that month, and were engaged in June. In October, a month after Miller's death, Grande and the SNL comedian called it quits.
