Mariah Carey Announces ‘Magical’ Christmas Special

All hail the Queen of Christmas Mariah Carey. The legendary singer has announced Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special, which will premiere on Apple TV+ on Friday, December 4.

The festive special will feature guest appearances from Tiffany Haddish, Billy Eichner, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, Snoop Dogg, Jermaine Dupri, Misty Copeland, Mykal-Michelle Harris, and Carey’s twins Moroccan and Monroe.

In the special, Carey is called up to save the day, as there is a holiday cheer crisis at the North Pole. Viewers will get to experience musical performances, dynamic dancing and groundbreaking animation.

It wouldn’t be a proper special without music. Carey has teamed up with Jennifer Hudson and Ariana Grande for a new rendition of “Oh Santa!,” which was originally released in 2010, as part of her Merry Christmas II You album. The song and accompanying video will be available on December 4.

Carey’s new version of “Oh Santa!” will appear on the companion soundtrack for Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special, which will be exclusively available on Apple Music on December 4. It will release to other streaming platforms on December 11.

According to Apple Music, the official soundtrack to the special is said to be “full of brand new interpretations,” and will include Snoop Dogg and Jermaine Dupri as additional musical guests, as well as a new version of “Sleigh Ride.”
