The Lord’s presence will be felt on Kelly Price‘s next project. The platinum-selling powerhouse has announced a new gospel EP titled Grace.

The six-track project is due on April 2 and will be released as part of a joint venture between Price’s imprint SANG GIRL! Inc. and Motown Gospel.

Promised to include “new messages of hope, love, faith, overcoming and grace,” the inspirational project is the second of its kind to be released from Price.

In 2006, she put out This Is Who I Am, a faith-based album that opened at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart.

A project like Grace not only reinforces Price’s gospel roots but speaks to where her help comes from during challenging times, especially after the loss of her grandfather and mother last year.

“Whatever side of me that people have loved through the years, be it R&B or gospel, they are going to get all of that on this album. I let my team know that I needed to get back to work to finish this project and get my message out. I couldn’t imagine going through 2020 without having a foundation of faith and a strong belief in God,” shared Price in a press statement

In addition to the project and deal announcement, Price has released the EP’s title track.

In 2020, Price released two songs: “UnSung” and “What I Need (Give Me What I Need).” She also celebrated the 20th anniversary of her sophomore album Mirror Mirror. Revisit Rated R&B’s retrospective editorial on the LP here
