Justin Bieber knows him limitations. Just days after he confused the world with what felt like an out-of-nowhere challenge to Mission Impossible star and notorious stunt lover Tom Cruise to get into the octagon for a mixed martial arts fight, the 25 year-old singer admitted on Wednesday (June 12) that it was all just a goof. TMZ caught up with Bieber in Los Angeles and asked him to explain his challenge to the 56 year-old action star.
"Nah… I was just playin'," Bieber told a group of paparazzi photographers who asked him if he was serious about his challenge, which included the taunt, "if you don't take this fight your scared and you will never live it down." Bieber admitted that he doesn't know Cruise. "It was just on my mind… I don't know why. It was just a random tweet. I do that stuff sometimes… I'm pretty sure Tom would… probably whup my ass in a fight."
I wanna challenge Tom Cruise to fight in the octagon. Tom if you dont take this fight your scared and you will never live it down. Who is willing to put on the fight? @danawhite ?

If there was some kind of showdown, Bieber said he'd have to get in shape because he's "really skinny right now." Besides, Cruise would likely be in a different weight class, because, as Justin pointed out, "he's got that dad strength." Click here to watch Bieber explain his jokey challenge.
Bieber's original tweet set off a flurry of other age-gap fight challenges, with Don Cheadle, 54, offering to step in the ring with legendary tough guy actor/director Clint Eastwood, 89 and Tiffany Haddish, 39, saying she'd get down with Betty White, 97, while the pair appeared on Wednesday night's Late Late Show.
