Junun, Jonny Greenwood's side project with Israeli composer Shye Ben Tzur and Indian ensemble The Rajasthan Express, stopped by The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on July 9 to perform the hypnotic title track from their self-titled debut album.

Comprised of a number of percussionists and brass players, Junun put on a performance different from the normal guests on Colbert. Consisting of eight members, the group's sound is a cacophony of elaborately blended instrumentation that is both traditionally Middle Eastern and modern. As their sound ebbs and flows in intensity, each member's unique abilities are subtlety showcased making for a satisfying and enjoyable performance.

Junun is the opening act on Radiohead's current tour. Greenwood connected with Tzur after hearing him perform in the desert, then encountered the ensemble while looking for studio space in Rajasthan.
