Jim James is on a mission to ship a message along with his craft. Performing his new single "Over and Over" on Wednesday's (Oct. three) episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, James provided a stripped-back rendition of the monitor, boosted with a finger-picking acoustic guitar efficiency.

Fusing nation and indie rock, the My Morning Jacket frontman rolled into the politically-charged lyrics, "We battle the identical fights/We shed the identical blood/Hold down the identical hope/Over and over once more."

The efficiency spotlight got here together with the refrain. Accompanied by the Resistance Revival Chorus, 5 girls shared the highlight with James, including soulful, delicate backing vocals. Wearing white outfits, every member of the group was lit up with a special shade on stage, creating a phenomenal rainbow impact.

Uniform Clarity is the bare-boned acoustic sister album to James’ final report Uniform Distortion, launched earlier this 12 months. It's due out on Friday (Oct. 5).
