Plus, charts moves for Ozuna and Luis Coronel.
Jennifer Lopez logs her eighth Latin Airplay chart leader – and third of the year – as “El Anillo” bolts 12-1 on the July 14-dated list.
The song rises thanks to an 88 percent increase in audience impressions (to 16 million) in the week ending July 8, according to Nielsen Music. The gain was likely prompted by its new Ozuna remix, which hit radio on July 2, benefiting from six days of airplay.
Lopez topped the chart earlier in the year with the tracks “Amor, Amor, Amor” featuring Wisin, and as part of the triple-billed title “Se Acabó el Amor” with Abraham Mateo and Yandel, both ruling for one week only.
Among women, Lopez continues to have the third-most No. 1s on the tally, trailing only Shakira (who has 13) and Gloria Estefan (with 11).
In addition to the Latin Airplay coronation, ”El Anillo” also lands at No. 1 on the Latin Rhythm Airplay tally, vaulting 9-1 in its tenth frame and besting its No. 9 peak where the song held for four non-consecutive weeks. The new lift grants Lopez her fourth leader, extending her record as the female with most No. 1s, now with four.
Ozuna Rises With “Unica”: Plus, Ozuna acquires his 14th top 10 on the Latin Rhythm Airplay chart as “Unica,” the latest single from his second full-length forthcoming album Aura, moves 12-10. The track bumps with a 22 percent jump in audience (to 9.5 million) in its tenth frame.
As “Unica” ascends, Ozuna claims a trio of songs on the list’s top 10. After its former No. 1 rank, Reik’s “Me Niego” featuring Ozuna and Wisin stands steady at No. 3 for its third consecutive week, and “Te Boté” (by Casper Magico, Nio Garcia, Darell, Nicky Jam, Ozuna and Bad Bunny) places at No. 8. Further, Ozuna has two more hits on the chart: “El Farsante” with Romeo Santos (No. 14) and his featured turn on Wisin’s “Quisiera Alejarme” (No. 16).
Concurrently, ”Unica” climbs 16-12 on the Latin Airplay chart.
Luis Coronel Picks Up Seventh Top 10: Finally, over on the Regional Mexican Songs airplay chart, Luis Coronel notches his seventh top 10 with “Para No Acordarme de Ella” as the song shoots 17-10 with 5.5 million in audience (58 percent gain).
“Para No Acordarme” is the third single off his third charted album Ahora Soy Yo which ruled the Regional Mexican Albums chart for one week in 2017.
