Nothing like art can help to heal the pain and vent out all emotions we often keep inside ourselves. An underground artist Hipster Conspiracy releases her debut album titled Dysphoria that she treats as a therapeutic medium for her to deal with the mental health issues, drug abuse, and identity struggles as a transgender woman.

Dysphoria is a house for 10, extremely personal tracks focusing on Hipster Conspiracy’s experiences. One of the featured songs named ‘Sick’ simply starts with ‘What the f**k do you know about mental illness? / Wake up every day wanting to kill myself,’ and as she explains her reasoning behind suicidal thoughts, listeners get to know her and what she went through.

Hipster Conspiracy’s album is an example of a new wave of experimental approaches to music. Sonically, Dysphoria incorporates elements of pop, indie, and electro, but the way Hipster Conspiracy delivers her performance can’t be categorized at all. She raps, sings, whispers, and serves a brand new way of presenting her vocal abilities. Interesting new artist to look closer at!
