The new music video tackles the stigma surrounding mental health issues.
Good Charlotte released “Shadowboxer” today (July 13) as the second single off their upcoming album, Generation Rx. The new track dropped along with a music video directed by Jake Stark.
While the solemn lyrical themes tackle mental health issues and pain, the video is described in a statement as “a solitary look at what appear to be everyday people confronting the pain and struggle that is reflected back at them as they look at themselves the mirror.” The band aims to raise awareness for “the stigma of mental health issues,” which forces many to suffer without help.
Good Charlotte is also launching a streetwear collaboration with LA brand Chinatown Market, including limited edition shirts, sweatshirts, and stickers. The pre-order bundles are now available exclusively through Good Charlotte's online store.
This fall, Good Charlotte will embark on their North American Tour in support of Generation Rx, kicking off on Oct. 12 in Mexico City, and wrapping on Nov. 24 in Las Vegas. Tickets for the tour are now available, and can be purchased here. Good Charlotte's upcoming seventh studio album, Generation Rx, is also available for pre-order starting today.
