Straight out from the source of top HipHop, Atlanta, Georgia-based rapper Lay B shared his latest work – a music video for the track ‘Rags 2 Riches.’ The Global Status signee delivers his single filled with swag and vibe, and he proves his abilities to produce dope numbers. 

 

 

About Lay B

Lay B is an Atlanta based rapper who was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He recently announced the release of his debut single “Rags 2 Riches.” A  Global Status Inc. signee, Lay B was inspired by his father to start music, as he was himself a rapper. Lay B would take beats from his father’s catalogue and write and rap on them, imitating every one of his moves, and making him his main inspiration. 

From a very young age, Lay B was exposed to multiple musical influences, and artists such as Tupac Shakur, Biggie Smallz,  Eminem, Nas, and 50 Cent, who inspired him to create his own lane in rap, made of straightforward lyrics and undeniably innovative beats and instrumentals.

Lay B’s music evolved along the years, transforming from strictly raw rapping, to lyrical rapping, and today, to stand as an artist who can blend mix, input, melodies, and transform his life experiences into his signature sound. On his debut single, “Rags 2 Riches,” he shares his personal story, upgrading from a mediocre everyday rap, to just going all-in with it, partly thanks to his brother who always gave him constructive criticism regarding his art.  

The first taste of what he has to offer, “Rags 2 Riches” paves the way for many more tracks and content to be released by the ambitious artist, as 2020 seems to be the year of his creative explosion in the world of Hip-Hop and beyond.
