New York City based singer-songwriter Dewé continues inspiring music fans with his debut release, the mesmerizing album Colors. This afrobeat-infused record is home to ten graceful tracks, including the artist’s debut single release “GenGen Pose,” released a few months ago.

The alternative afrobeat artist is originally from Lagos, Nigeria, where he became extremely popular after appearing on “The Voice: Nigeria,” making it to the finals.  Since then, he has decided to tell his story through music while consistently polishing his skills and sharpening his vision as an artist.

Mali Music, to John Legend, to Fela, to Sam Smith and Erykah Badu are some of the artists that have inspired Dewé, especially in terms of combining African influences with American-based genres of music. The debut album Colors is the first step towards global recognition for Dewé, with a record revealing his intimate understanding of the meaning of love, from both a world perspective and African perspective, gaining the potential to be relatable to a very large audience.
