During the latest episode of NPR's Tiny Desk Concert series, comedian Dave Chappelle made a cameo appearance to introduce his long-time friend harmonica master Frédéric Yonnet.

According to Chappelle, “A wonderful friend of mine is playing tonight and I happened to be in the area. As a matter of fact, I came to watch, but he asked me to introduce him and it's my pleasure.”

The comedian then told the story of how they met and the time that he and the French musician were introduced to Stevie Wonder backstage at the Grammys in 2006. “Fred ran up and said, 'Oh my God it's Stevie Wonder!' And he ran up and started playing for Stevie and I was very embarrassed,” explains Chappelle. “The next thing I know, Fred and Steve was on tour.”

Chappelle then praises Yonnet for touring with “all the greats” like Stevie Wonder, Prince and many more.
