Cardi B's 'Be Careful' Hits No. 1 on the Rhythmic Songs Chart

Cardi B adds a fourth No. 1 to her Rhythmic Songs airplay chart resume, as “Be Careful” steps 2-1 on the ranking, dated July 7. The tune improves 2 percent in plays in the week ending July 1, according to Nielsen Music.

Cardi B previously reached the top of Rhythmic Songs with “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves),” a four-week leader in 2017, through a featured turn on G-Eazy’s “No Limit” (two weeks), and “Finesse,” her collaboration with Bruno Mars, which reigned for two frames earlier this year.

As “Careful” and “Yellow” feature on Cardi B’s debut studio album, Invasion of Privacy, she becomes the first artist to claim two No. 1s from a debut album since 2015. That year, Fetty Wap’s self-titled debut LP spun off in “Trap Queen,” which led for two weeks, and the Monty-assisted “My Way,” a one-week champ.

Cardi B could prove to be her own greatest challenger in the coming weeks as her “I Like It,” a collab with Bad Bunny and J Balvin, lifts 6-3 on Rhythmic Songs. The track, the current champ on the Streets Talkin Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts, rockets 17 percent in plays on Rhythmic Songs for the week.

Rising ‘Moonlight’: Plus, XXXTentacion earns his second top 10 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs as “Moonlight” moves 11-9. The gain stems from continued streaming growth after the divisive rapper/singer was shot and killed on June 18. “Moonlight” climbs to 31.4 million U.S. streams in the week ending June 29, according to Nielsen Music, up 14 percent. The growth pushes the track 6-4 on R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs.

Meanwhile, XXXTentacion's most recent studio album, ?, returns to No. 1 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums for a third total week with a 2-1 bump. The set earned 86,000 equivalent album units in the week ending June 29, according to Nielsen Music.

Caesar & H.E.R. Add Top 10s: Elsewhere, Daniel Caesar and H.E.R. each acquire a second top 10 on the Hot R&B Songs chart as “Best Part,” moves 12-10 in its ninth charting week. The track posts strong gains in U.S. streams (4.7 million, up 25 percent) and sales (5,000 downloads sold, up 127 percent) in the week ending June 29.

Caesar previously reached the region with “Get You,” featuring Kali Uchis, which reached No. 5 in February, while H.E.R. visited the tier with the No. 10-peaking “Focus” in March.

“Part” also ascends at radio, moving 12-10 on the Adult R&B Songs airplay chart with a 17 percent surge in plays in the week ending July 1. The collaboration gives Caesar his second top 10 on the list, following “Get You,” which ruled for one week in February.  H.E.R., likewise, nets a second top 10 on Adult R&B Songs; she achieved her first one week ago with “Focus,” which rises 10-9 on the current ranking with an 11 percent boost in weekly plays.
