Blink-182 Boycott FedEx After Shipping Company Maintains Ties with NRA

California pop-punk legends Blink-182 have never been a particularly political band, but that has changed in recent years. For example, in the wake America’s Parkland mass shooting, the band have decided to cut ties with FedEx for all their merch shipments.

Following the shooting earlier this month, a number companies promised to stop fering discounts to the National Rifle Association. For their part, however, FedEx decided not to sever ties with the organization and continue to fer discounts up to 26 percent to NRA cardholders.

“The NRA is one hundreds organizations in our alliances/association Marketing program whose members receive discounted rates for FedEx shipping,” the company said in a statement. “FedEx has never set or changed rates for any our millions customers around the world in response to their politics, beliefs or positions on issues.”

As a result this decision, Blink-182 have vowed to ship their merchandise through a different company. Read bassist Mark Hoppus’ statement about the decision below.
