Avril Lavigne has formally returned stronger than ever and it isn't strictly metaphorical. Marking her first tv look in years, Lavigne carried out her intimate new single "Head Above Water" on Jimmy Kimmel Live! for the primary time ever on Wednesday evening (Sept. 26). 

Both a cry for assist and a strong, religious epiphany detailing the Canadian singer's journey by way of her wrestle with Lyme illness — the explanation why she's been away from the general public eye for nearly 5 years — “Head Above Water” is a private piano ballad that provides a never-seen-before aspect of Lavigne: concurrently weak and robust.
