Despite the Twitter announcement, his cancellation wasn’t made clear to festivalgoers, who rushed the stage while waiting for Uzi to appear. Watch fan-shot footage the incident below.
UPDATE (05/21, 4:40 p.m.): Here’s an ficial statement from Santa Teresa’s publicist:
Yesterday, Lil Uzi Vert and his crew landed plane in Montreal to perform at Santa Teresa Fest in Sainte-Thérèse, Québec just outside Montreal, Canada.
Despite his entire entourage being approved to cross the border, Canada Customs Officers prevented Lil Uzi Vert from ficially entering Canada.
Every effort was made by the festival on every political level to facilitate Lil Uzi Vert’s entry into the country but the efforts made were unfortunately not successful.
All ticket holders will receive a reimbursement e-mail rapidly. We regret any inconvenience this concert cancellation has caused.
